blamepost is launching in a single region (US East). EU and UK regions are next on the roadmap, driven by customer demand for data residency. Encrypted bytes are not replicated outside the region your account lives in, and the encryption key is derived per-account inside the region — so an export across regions is not decryptable even by us.

Questions about the bill.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, in either direction. Plan changes prorate against the current billing period. Moving from Team to Solo collapses team-only features (shared inboxes, role-based access) into a single-seat view; we keep the data for 30 days in case you reverse course.
Do you charge for inbound mail volume?
No. The price covers seats and storage; inbound mail is unmetered. If your inbound traffic runs persistently above what a human mailbox could plausibly read, we'll reach out — that's a deliverability conversation, not a billing one.
What's storage actually counted in?
Encrypted bytes on disk per seat. Includes message bodies, headers, attachments, and uploaded blobs. The encrypted search index and audit log don't count against your quota.
Annual billing?
Yes, with two months free on annual on every tier. The discount applies on the first renewal — we don't charge a year up-front before you've decided whether the service works for you.
What about tax?
EU VAT and UK VAT collected per the customer's billing country. US sales tax collected in states where we have nexus. Tax IDs entered in the billing portal flow through to invoices automatically.
Do you have a free tier?
No. Free mail tiers usually pay for themselves through ads, telemetry, or training models on user mail — none of which match the rest of blamepost. The lowest plan is paid because the costs of running a mail server are real and bounded only by paying customers.
